SOMNILASE LASER

The Somnilase Laser is a treatment for those suffering from snoring. Snoring is the vibration of respiratory structures and the resulting sound is due to obstructed air movement during breathing while sleeping. Snoring is also one of the main factors of sleep deprivation. Around 41.5% of the UK population suffers from snoring, but only 5% are medically diagnosed and treated. Some patients may find that the usual method of treating snoring through weight management or night time devices unsuccessful, however the Somnilase Laser is a quick resolution.

The single-use laser handpiece has been specifically designed to target very specific areas for the most effective treatment. It works by strengthening the structure of the soft palate and uvula by causing microscopic damage to the mucous membrane. The area/structure of the soft palate is improved by using specific light energy.

During the natural ageing process, the collagen fibres or tissue strength can decrease and so further treatments may later be required in the future. However, no local anesthesia is needed therefore there is no downtime.

With Somnilase Laser, anyone is able to reduce their snoring in a simple painless ten minute procedure. The single-use laser handpiece has been specifically designed to target very specific areas for the most effective treatment.
